ST. GEORGE — Abby and Bill Jergins were combing a Deseret Industries in St. George when they came across some photo albums in a box which appeared unused.

They purchased them to host their own photos, but realized upon arriving home that the albums were already jammed with photos of someone’s family and friends. As lovers of photos themselves, the couple was eager to find the albums’ rightful owner.

Meanwhile, Lynda Bloxham Wright had just finished moving into her new home in a different area of St. George, Wright told KSL.com. The photo albums had gotten lost during her move, mistakenly placed in a pile dedicated to go to the DI.

Though she had not yet realized they were missing, Abby and Bill Jergins’ assumptions about the photos being a family treasure were not misplaced. A KSL.com article got the word out quickly, and Wright received a multitude of emails and calls from her family and friends telling her to go see the article and reclaim her photo albums.

“When that was on there I go ‘oh my gosh that’s me!’,” she said. “'Those are my pictures!' And then everybody was calling me — family from everywhere.”

Wright quickly got in contact with Abby and Bill Jergins, who were delighted to find that she lived close by in the St. George area. She went and picked up the photos from them that same day.

“That was so nice of them to do that,” Wright said. “There are some old, old pictures! There’s a picture of my brother from before he died. There were some friends in the photos who’ve moved away [as well], but it was mostly family.”

Wright added that she is thankful to Abby and Bill Jergins and everyone else who played a part in getting the albums back home to her.
