SALT LAKE CITY — Mother’s Day comes once a year, but for many, moms play a vital role all 365 days.

You’ve got your working moms, your stay-at-home moms and your supermoms — each one with more on her plate than you can imagine.

Some moms may teach us important life skills. Some may teach us important life lessons. Some never stop teaching us.

To celebrate moms, we want to hear about the greatest thing your mother taught you and what it’s meant to you. It can be a skill, a recipe, a tough lesson or simply a piece of advice that shaped you — we want to hear it all. We’ll pick our favorites to share on KSL.com this Mother’s Day.

This is all we ask:

  • Keep it short — 100 words or less. Submissions may be edited for brevity and clarity.
  • Submit a picture, if you can. We want to see your lovely mom.
  • Must submit by 11 p.m., Friday, May 10
Submit your answer below or email submissions and photos toycruz@ksl.com. Be sure to include with your name and your mom’s name.
