BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) — The Latest on the Costume Designers Guild Awards (all times local):

3:25 a.m.

The Costume Designers Guild says Wonder Woman's gilded bustier, the spangled skating dresses in "I, Tonya" and the subdued shades of the 1960s as shown in "The Shape of Water" were among the finest costumes of the year.

The union celebrated the year's outstanding work in film and television at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Tuesday night at its 20th annual awards show. Hosted by actress Gina Rodriguez, the evening included special honors for Guillermo del Toro and Kerry Washington, and concluded with Sally Field bringing a tote bag of movie memorabilia onstage.

The Oscar-winning actress was on hand to present a career achievement award to costume designer Joanna Johnston, whose many credits include "Saving Private Ryan," ''Love Actually," ''The Sixth Sense" and two collaborations with Field: "Forrest Gump" and "Lincoln."

The president of the Costume Designers Guild says there's so much to the art form, it can't be contained in one award.

Salvador Perez says the guild launched its annual celebration of the best work in film and television two decades ago to highlight costumes' contribution to storytelling. He says that while the Oscars recognize costume design, the guild's awards are broken into categories that highlight the intricacies of contemporary, period and sci-fi or fantasy costumes.

Actress Gina Rodriguez is set to host the 20th Costume Designers Guild Awards Tuesday night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Besides the competitive awards, special honors will be presented to Kerry Washington and Guillermo del Toro. Longtime Steven Spielberg collaborator Joanna Johnston will receive the Career Achievement Award.
