NEW YORK (AP) — In another sign that the Broadway smash "Hamilton" has become a cultural phenomenon, you will soon be able to buy branded T-shirts, caps, water bottles and hoodies far from New York City.
Bloomingdale's said Friday it will carry "Hamilton" memorabilia in its stores in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Monica and New York's Long Island, as well as online. That's in addition to the retailer's two Manhattan locations on 59th Street and SoHo.
Bloomingdale's is the exclusive retailer beginning June 1 through July 31.
Lin-Manuel Miranda's hip-hop-flavored biography about the first U.S. treasury secretary has burst through the Broadway bubble like few shows in recent memory.
A production is planned for Chicago this fall and another version starts a tour next spring in San Francisco and then Los Angeles.
