'Ask Dr. Nandi' earns $1.5 million film incentive

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (AP) — The Michigan Film Office says it has awarded a $1.5 million film incentive to the "Ask Dr. Nandi" talk show.

The hour-long program focuses on medical and lifestyle issues and is filmed, produced and edited in the state. Dr. Partha Nandi is a gastroenterologist who practices in suburban Detroit.

"Ask Dr. Nandi" features patients and practitioners discussing diseases or other health problems and developing solutions for patients and their families.

It's currently shooting in Farmington Hills and airs on Doctor Television Channel and the Diya TV network.

According to the film office, 14 projects have been awarded $58 million in incentives during fiscal year 2014.
