NEW YORK (AP) - Carole King will perform at Alicia Keys' Black Ball event in November.
Keys announced Wednesday that the iconic singer will hit the stage at the fundraising gala on Nov. 7 at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom for her charity, Keep a Child Alive. It will be the organization's 10-year anniversary.
Jazz vibraphonist Roy Ayers, British soul singer Laura Mvula and opera singer Kathleen Battle will also perform.
Keep a Child Alive assists people affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.
Last year, the organization honored Oprah Winfrey.
