WEST WENDOVER, Nev. (AP) — A 19-year-old Utah man who was stopped for speeding just across the Nevada state line has been arrested on drug charges.
West Wendover police say they spotted Kamel Al-Bander of Midvale almost immediately after receiving a report Saturday night of a reckless driver on Wendover Boulevard.
The Elko Daily Free Press reported on Wednesday that Al-Bander was unable to produce a valid driver's license or current registration for the vehicle.
Officers then allegedly discovered in the vehicle a bottle with prescription medication that they say did not belong to Al-Bander.
He was arrested on charges of possessing a dangerous drug without a prescription and driving without a driver's license. His bail was set at $5,195.
