SALT LAKE CITY — Officials have identified a man whose body was found on the side of I-215 on Saturday.

The body was identified as Brennon Robert Day, 29, of Salt Lake City, Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce said in an emailed statement.

A worker found Day’s body in a construction zone off I-215 close to 2100 North near the Salt Lake-Davis county line about 8:45 a.m. Saturday. Officials believe Day was the victim of an auto-pedestrian accident, and the body may have been there for 1-3 weeks, Royce said.

On Monday, officials were asking for the public’s help to determine more information about the body discovery, according to Royce. As of Monday, authorities were looking for a car that may have hit Day.

Anyone with information is asked to call UHP dispatch at 801-887-3800.
