CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) -- The first commercial flight from Cedar City to Salt Lake City in more than a year has been cleared for takeoff.
The SkyWest flight is scheduled to take off at 7:20 a.m. Monday from Cedar City Municipal Airport to Salt Lake City, which hasn't been an easy destination for commercial fliers from one of southern Utah's largest communities.
Mesa Airlines won a bidding war and took over service last year with flights to Phoenix and Las Vegas, but not Utah's capital city.
SkyWest is back at Cedar City now and is offering flights to and from Salt Lake City twice daily.
