NEW YORK (AP) — Alexandre Desplat, who won his first Oscar this year, will receive the BMI Icon Award next month.

The French composer will be honored at the 2015 Film & Television Awards on May 13 in Beverly Hills, California, Broadcast Music Inc. announced Wednesday. Desplat won the Academy Award for best original score for "The Grand Budapest Hotel" in February.

Desplat, a Golden Globe winner and Grammy nominee, has also scored movies like "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," ''The Twilight Saga: New Moon," ''The King's Speech" and "Argo."

The BMI event will also honor Walt Disney Music President Chris Montan with the classic contribution award for his three-decade career at Disney.
