Shelley Osterloh ReportingIf you could wish for anything in the world -- anything at all -- what would you wish for? Residents of Cedar City had the chance to answer that question this week, and for a lucky few those dreams became reality.

"Three Wishes" is an NBC reality show premiering this fall. The show travels to different cities granting wishes to deserving individuals and communities. Cedar City was one of only ten locations selected for the pilot season. And, for a little town, they sure can wish big.

They came to wish, lining the streets of Cedar City to reveal their deepest desires, only this time the sky really was the limit.

Amy Grant, Show Host: "I don't think it's about the hype, I think it's about the possibility of people saying, 'You mean there is really a possibility that my wish could be chosen?'"

Show host Amy Grant couldn't reveal all of the magic that took place this week, but some of the wishes were hard to keep in the bag. With the wave of a TV wand, a 100-foot fire truck pulled into the Cedar City Fire Department. The delivery is based on the wish of nine-year-old girl who wanted to say thank you to city firefighters.

More magic made its way to Salt Lake as Fed Ex trucks set out to grant the wish of Charles and Donna Cooley. The Cooley's run the Happy Factory, a toy shop in Cedar City that makes handmade wooden toys for needy children. They will now be able to make more toys and help more children than ever before at a brand-new, second factory in Midvale.

Amy Grant: "The greatest part of this, I just keep experiencing over and over again are people coming together and talking about things that really matter to them. The act of talking about something that matters is empowering all by itself, even if the wish isn't picked."

Those are only a few of the wishes granted this week. The show typically grants three to five big wishes and several smaller "wishlets" along the way. The Cedar City episode is scheduled to air the first part of October and you can watch it right here, on Channel 5.

You'll also see part of the concert Amy Grant is giving tonight for the residents of Cedar City.
