SALT LAKE CITY -- A man shot and wounded in a standoff with police will serve up to five years in prison.
Robert Edward Holliday pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated assault and domestic violence in front of a child for striking the mother of the children in front of them at the couple's Taylorsville home last August.
When police arrived to investigate the incident Holliday pulled out a pellet gun -- which looks similar to a handgun -- causing officers to shoot him.
He recovered from his injuries, and the officers returned to duty after an investigation.
