SANDY -- A would-be robber came up empty-handed twice Monday in Sandy.

Police say the man first tried to rob a Walgreens pharmacy at 9426 S. 700 East around 1:00 p.m. Monday afternoon. He gave the clerk a note claiming he had a weapon and demanded OxyContin. He did not get any and took off.

Ten minutes later he tried the same stunt inside the Harmons Pharmacy down the road at 7755 S. and 700 East -- but he got nothing there, either.

The man was wearing dark clothes, a dark hat, prescription glasses and had a birthmark near his right eye. The suspect was described as an Asian male, 5'4", 130-140 pounds.

Anyone with information should call the Sandy Police Department at 801-840-4000.
