SALT LAKE CITY -- The 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver has upheld the creation of the Canyons School District.
The City of Herriman challenged the legality of the split of Jordan District to create the new Canyons District because some residents were excluded from voting for or against it back in 2007.
Jordan District officials, who lost property tax revenue to the split, say they are disappointed with the appeals court ruling.
