PERRY -- Police in the small town of Perry, which is located in southern Box Elder County, are investigating a body that was on fire.

Dispatchers say a resident reported the body near Interstate 15. A Utah Highway Patrol trooper checked it out and found a body that was still smoldering.
It happened in field just south of 1100 South, near the railroad tracks in Perry.
Investigators aren't sure if the body is that of a man or a woman, and they don't know if he or she is a victim of homicide or suicide.
We have a crew on the scene and will bring you more information as soon as it becomes available.
