TAYLORSVILLE -- Family of a man stabbed at a Taylorsville party over the weekend says he now is paralyzed.
Police say Michael Fernandez was stabbed four times in the back, four times in the head and twice in the neck early Sunday.
Fernandez's brother, Richard Hoffman, tells the Salt Lake Tribune that Fernandez now is paralyzed from the neck down. Hoffman says his brother will remain on a ventilator for at least six weeks.
Police arrested four juvenile boys on suspicion of attempted homicide in connection with the attack. Officers also arrested a girl who police say could face obstruction of justice charges.
It may take several weeks for formal charges to be filed.
