The event is held to help kids with cancer and their families enjoy the holiday. Even though Rose has been doing this for years, this time in meant quite a bit more because he was diagnosed with cancer this past summer.

"It's been really different," Rose said. "These families have come up to me and asked me how I'm doing. And I know I'm doing probably better than most all of them. And I'm really grateful for that."

The Cougar basketball team has hosted this event for the past 11 years.

Though the party is over, the Children with Cancer Christmas Foundation will continue to accept financial donations through the end of they year. CLICK HERE for information on how you can help.
