MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) -- Jaycee Carroll scored 28 points to lead Utah State to a 75-66 win over Idaho Saturday night.

Little-used center Arvydas Vaitiekus doubled his season points total by scoring 12 for Utah State (18-7, 7-4). The Aggies won their third straight game despite the absence of second-leading scorer Chaz Spicer, who was ill.

Keoni Watson led Idaho (3-21, 1-11) with 24 points. Reserve guard Miles Webb scored all of his career-high 18 points in the second half, but the Vandals lost their seventh straight game.

Utah State led by 20 or more points much of the game, but Idaho pulled within 10 three times in the final 3:04.

The Aggies led 43-23 at the half after shooting 70.4 percent from the field and holding Idaho to 31.0 percent.

Utah State wound up tying their season-best shooting percentage of 62.8. The Vandals shot 41.4 percent

Vaitiekus, who had six field goals all season and was averaging 1.2 points, went 6 for 6 from the floor (5 for 5 in the first half). Webb, who was averaging 3.8 points and shooting 28.8 percent, went 6 for 11 from the field and sank a career-high five 3-pointers in nine attempts.
