SALT LAKE CITY -- The Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office released several more documents Wednesday in the case of the off-duty Salt Lake County sheriff's deputy who fired his gun inside the Green Street Social Club on Sept. 19.

The attorney's office responded to requests by KSL and other news outlets for details of the investigation into the case which cleared Detective Rudy Chacon of wrongdoing.

The documents include the affidavit in support of a search warrant for a blood sample. The affidavit was filed at about 5:30 a.m. and the blood was drawn at 6 a.m. -- several hours after the shooting.

Also on Wednesday, the prosecutor's office said it has begun screening new charges in the case against J.J. Pikula, who was shot in the brawl.

His brother, Arnold, pleaded guilty Tuesday to assaulting an officer in the same case.
