Mehmet Okur, who had missed the last three games with flu-like symptoms, hit a three-pointer with just over eight minutes left in the fourth quarter, moving him up on the Jazz all-time three-pointer leaderboard.
With the make, Okur passed Jeff Hornacek for the fourth most three pointers made by a Jazz player (440).
Although the three had little impact on the game (Jazz were still down 16 after the make), it was still a significant milestone for the former NBA All-Star (2007).
**Career 3 Pointers Made** | ||
---|---|---|
Jazz Rank | Player | Total |
1. | John Stockton | 845 |
2. | Bryon Russell | 540 |
3. | Darrell Griffith | 530 |
**4.** | **Mehmet Okur** | **440** |
5. | Jeff Hornacek | 439 |
Notes: Okur owns the Jazz single-season records for 3-pointers made and attempted. Teammate Andrei Kirilenko only needs two more blocks to move into second place for career blocks as a Jazz player (he has 1,252, Greg Ostertag had 1,253). First place is owned by Mark Eaton (3,064).
