SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Travel over the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday is expected to increase slightly in the West compared to 2008.

AAA Utah says more than 2.5 million travelers in the region will travel 50 miles or more this holiday weekend, an increase of .3 percent.

Nationally, AAA expects 38.4 million people will travel 50 miles or more during the four-day weekend. That's a 1.4 percent increase compared to last year.
