SALT LAKE CITY -- Utah Highway Patrol troopers hit the road Saturday night in an effort to keep drivers and passengers safe.
Troopers said since Halloween falls on a weekend this year, it could mean more people will drink at parties.
That's why more than 200 troopers will be patrolling the streets in a statewide DUI blitz.
Statistics show fatal car crashes go up 40 percent when Halloween falls on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
