SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) -- Notre Dame has agreed to play Western Michigan in football next season, completing the 2010 schedule.
Athletic director Jack Swarbrick said Thursday the Irish also will play Tulsa and Utah in South Bend next season, its second season of playing seven home games, one home game at a neutral site and four road games. Swarbrick said the dates will officially be released Friday.
It will be the first time the Fighting Irish have played Tulsa or Utah. Notre Dame played Western in 1919 and 1920, winning 53-0 and 41-0.
The road games are at Michigan State, Boston College, Navy and Southern California. The other home games are Purdue, Michigan, Stanford and Pittsburgh. The home game at the neutral site is at Yankee Stadium on Nov. 20.
