Administrators try to ease nerves while at the same time they cancel school pictures, keep kids indoors during lunch and search lockers.

After a fight yesterday afternoon, students apparently started texting that someone planned to bring a weapon to school.

Concerned parents called police.

Principal Bowden: "We take these things very aggressively."

Principal Robin Bowden says the rumors had enough in 'em to make anyone nervous.

Principal Bowden: "The text messages have talked about anything from fights to weapons."

Police Lt. Jensen: "We're not going to tolerate this kind of behavior. If it counts putting mark units in front of the school and more officers in the school, then we will do that."

Police Lt. Tracy Jensen says the messages came after a fight during lunch yesterday. It's unclear who's behind them. Officers checked lockers and found nothing.

Police say the rumors may have spread after a fight between some students yesterday. They say those students have been suspended.

Police determined the school was safe, but a few officers stayed at the school throughout the day to make sure nothing got out of hand.
