SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The parents of a boy who attended a treatment center for troubled teens in St. George are suing the center.
The Colorado couple claim a staff member at the Red Rock Canyon School had an open sexual relationship with their son and allowed him to drink, smoke and cut classes.
The suit filed Monday in U-S District Court accuses the center of negligence, infliction of emotional distress, breach of contract and sexual abuse of a child.
The lawsuit seeks a minimum of 500-thousand dollars in damages.
Darcy Stowe pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual activity with a 16-to-17-year-old in 2002 and no longer works at the center.
The operators of the center deny the school did anything wrong.
