As a child, I enjoyed riding my bike up Ogden Canyon to Patio Springs. Keep in mind that this was long before the days of 10-speed bikes, so it would take me all morning to get there. My ride home was much quicker as I put my feet on the handlebars and simply zoomed down the canyon.
Memories of those happy times came flooding back to me when I visited with Jeremy Maughan at Wolf Creek Utah in the beautiful Ogden Valley. The Patio Springs of my youth is now Wolf Creek Utah. It's a 3,000-acre master-planned community and resort located near Pineview Reservoir, Powder Mountain Ski Resort and Snowbasin Ski Resort. In addition to its proximity to several ski resorts and recreation areas, it boasts an awe-inspiring golf course, outdoor pools, restaurants, beautiful accommodations and some of the most spectacular scenery in the West. Visitors can enjoy horseback riding, guided tours, boating, fishing, swimming, golf, skiing, dining or just relaxing and enjoying the serenity and peaceful setting. Wolf Creek is a paradise!
I was impressed with the real estate opportunities. There are condominiums, townhomes, custom homes and marvelous view homesites. I was equally impressed with the cottages, or fairway homes, nestled along the championship golf course. The setting in the upper Ogden Valley is just breathtaking and, of course, having beautiful Pineview Reservoir as a neighbor is an added bonus.
Snowbasin was the site of the downhill events during the 2002 Winter Olympics. The Olympic exposure and proximity to the Salt Lake International Airport have made Wolf Creek and the Ogden Valley a coveted destination for visitors from all over the world.
The charming towns of Eden, Huntsville and Liberty all add to the charm and attraction of Wolf Creek Utah for those who want to bask in a beautiful part of this great state.
