OGDEN -- A man believed to be selling more than $10,000 in heroin a week out of an Ogden hotel room is now in police custody.

According to the Deseret News, agents with the Weber-Morgan Narcotics Strike Force arrested Kevin James Garner, 51, Monday.

Agents identified Garner as a suspected drug dealer several months ago and put him under watch. They gathered enough evidence to obtain a search warrant for his room at the Millstream Motel.

Agents said they rounded up more than 150 balloons of heroin, 8 balloons filled with cocaine and drug paraphernalia. The street value of the drugs was close to $3,500. Agents also found a gun in the room.

Garner is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and unlawful possession of a firearm.
