SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The director of the FBI's Salt Lake City field division is leaving for a new assignment after nearly five years in Utah.
The Salt Lake Tribune reported on its Web site Thursday that FBI Special Agent in Charge Tim Fuhrman will take a similar post for the FBI's Mobile, Ala.-based division.
Bureau spokesman Juan Becerra confirms the change. Fuhrman will make the move in about a month.
In the Utah post, Fuhrman supervised agents in Utah, Idaho and Montana.
Fuhrman plans to hold a news conference Monday to review his tenure. Among his major cases were the pursuit of polygamous church leader Warren Jeffs, the search for murdered 5-year-old Destiny Norton and indictments for artifact looting in the Four Corners region.
