LAYTON, Utah (AP) -- Three Utah woman are arrested, after police uncover a sex sting operation.

Arrested in Layton were a 24-year-old from Clearfield, a 20-year-old from Sandy and a 35-year-old from Salt Lake City. They're accused of sexual solicitation and not having a sexually oriented business license.

Detectives set up a stakeout at a Layton hotel after a tip there was prostitution going there.

Police randomly selected and called escort services in the Ogden and Salt Lake areas. The three women arrived at the hotel and "negotiated" with an undercover officer until an agreement was made.

The women were booked in the Davis County Jail. The Clearfield and Sandy women were released, however the woman from Salt Lake remains in jail and also faces charges for possession of an illegal substance.
