SALT LAKE CITY -- Bryon Russell responded Tuesday to Michael Jordan's Hall of Fame enshrinement speech he gave Friday.

"Bryon Russell [was] sitting next to me, and I look over to Bryon and say,'Do you remember that conversation you made in 1994 about "I think I can guard you. I can shut you down. I would love to play against you."? Well, you're about to get your chance.' I think he had his chance and, believe me, I relished on that ... and from this day, if I ever see him in shorts, I'm coming at him," Jordan told the crowd.

Russell answered that call out Tuesday on ESPN' "Outside the Lines."

"I think it was a pretty good speech, especially when he put my name into it," Russell said. "So, you know, Mike, I'm gonna go on national TV and say if I see you in shorts--I got mine on right now--let's get this one-on-one on and make it happen."
