OGDEN -- Ogden police are searching for a man who threw a beer can at a store clerk during a robbery.
Police say a man walked up to the counter of the Tri-Mart at 3405 Washington Blvd. in Ogden early Sunday morning and asked the clerk about the price of lighters. He then handed the clerk an identification card out of Arizona and some money.
As soon as the clerk opened the register, he threw the 24-ounce beer can at her. Police say as the clerk stumbled back, the thief reached into the till, grabbed as much money as he could and left the store, dropping some cash on the way out.
The clerk was not seriously injured.
The robber is described as in his 20s, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 165 pounds with short black hair and a tattoo on the right of his neck that reads "Lil Boxer" in cursive.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Ogden Police Department at 801-629-8256.
