DRAPER -- The Utah State Prison and the Central Utah Correctional Facility in Gunnison were on lockdown Sunday as law enforcement moved nearly 200 inmates between the two facilities.
The massive transportation effort transferred 186 maximum-security inmates from the prison in Draper to the Gunnison facility.
The department of corrections reports the final group of inmates were secured in their cells by evening.
It says the move will allow it to do necessary maintenance at the state prison.
