WEST WENDOVER, Nev. (AP) -- The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed a 5-year-old girl near the Nevada-Utah state line.
Highway patrol spokesman Jim Stewart says a man from West Jordan, Utah, was driving east on Interstate 80 Sunday morning about a mile west of Wendover. The 2004 Chevy Tahoe drifted into the median and the driver overcorrected, causing the SUV to roll several times.
All eight family members in the vehicle were wearing seat belts. But the 5-year-old daughter of the driver was fatally injured.
The girl's name was not immediately released Monday.
