(KSL News) -- Midvale police have arrested a man accused of fleeing from an officer, being involved in a hit and run, and possession of drugs.

An officer tried to pull over Garrett Sloat late last night, as he was speeding by Motel Six on 72-hundred South with no lights on.

Man Arrested After Fleeing From Officer

Sloat then pulled into the motel parking lot, threw the car into reverse and jumped out. The car rolled back into the officer's car and Sloat ran into the motel.

The officer finally caught up with Sloat and discovered he was carrying heroine.
