TOOELE — A Tooele man has been accused of attacking his brother with a machete.

Frantzy Haitenne Decilon, 39, was charged Monday in 3rd District Court with aggravated assault resulting in serious injury and mayhem, second-degree felonies.

Tooele police responded Sunday to a report of two brothers fighting. "One had a machete, and the other brother was badly bleeding," police wrote in their booking affidavit.

According to police, a 29-year-old man suffered "severe lacerations" to both hands. The fingers were not severed, but officers say the cuts were deep enough the victim was left unable to move the affected appendages.

The booking report did not indicate how the fight started.

Decilon is scheduled for an initial court appearance next week.
