COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS -- Firefighters believe a welder is responsible for starting a fire near 7200 South and 2200 East in Cottonwood Heights Friday afternoon.
Investigators say the welder was working on the railing of a parking terrace when a stray spark started the field on fire.
The flames burned right up to the walls of neighboring homes and yards, but crews were able to keep everything contained.
