Police looking for purse-snatcher

SOUTH SALT LAKE -- Police detectives in South Salt Lake are looking for a thief who took an elderly woman's purse after she left it in a booth at a fast-food restaurant.

Surveillance video shows the man picking up the purse at the McDonald's on 3300 South and Main Street. The stolen purse contained cash and personal information.

Police have a vague description of the suspect.

The crime occurred on Saturday, Aug. 1.
