SALT LAKE CITY -- KSL 5 News received a lot of response from the story we did last night about the Vernal couple who sent their wedding ring to Nigeria only to learn they'd been scammed. A jeweler has contacted us and said he will give the couple a new wedding ring and band.

Sky Facet is an online jewelry dealer. After watching the story we aired Thursday night about the Coxes, the jeweler offered to send Mindie Cox a new wedding set.

Strapped for cash, the Coxes had to sell the rings because they couldn't afford them. They found a buyer on KSL.com, sent the rings to Nigeria and learned they were duped out of the rings and $2,500.

We've asked the couple to let us know when they get the new ring set.
