(KSL News) Police tried to track down a shooter today at Ogden High School. The search was all part of a drill.
Police Trainer: "It's very important that when you're doing this that you look in the classroom."
Police held it this morning as a part of their "school intruder" training.
The Ogden City School District says recent attacks in schools across the nation prompted the drill.
Police say it's important for its officers, because they will be the first to respond to a shooting. The drill will also help police make decisions for future safety plans.
Chad Carpenter, Ogden City School District: "This training will help us get some direction on where we need to go in designing those plans."
Police held the training when students were not in class.
