TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (AP) -- There's a new place for needy Taylorsville families to go after the city opens the doors to a new food bank.
It will be located behind the city's senior center and is expected to serve as many as 60 families.
Donations can be dropped off on the third Monday of every month, and volunteers will be able to open the building when residents are in need.
For some time now, volunteers have been getting food from the Utah Food Bank and then delivering it to families who are unable to get there on their own.
The food bank will be officially open to all Taylorsville residents in need following today's ribbon-cutting ceremony.
