Press releaseSALT LAKE CITY -- Friday's scheduled Salt Lake Bees' opponent, the Portland Beavers, was unable to travel to Salt Lake City today as a result of illness on the Beavers' team, and therefore tonight's game has been postponed.

In place of tonight's game, the club will continue with a Pioneer Day celebration by hosting a home run derby featuring Bees players and players from the Utah Marshalls and Utah Bucks at 7 p.m.

After the home run derby, the entire Bees roster will sign autographs while the Marshalls and Bucks will play a seven-inning game. The game will be followed by a fireworks show.

A make-up date for the Beavers-Bees game has yet to be determined.

The Marshalls and Bucks are 18-and-under all-star teams composed of elite baseball players from around the country.

Headlining the Marshalls squad is Bryce Harper, dubbed "Baseball's Chosen One" and featured on a recent cover issue of Sports Illustrated. Harper is a 16-year-old left-handed catcher from Las Vegas. Just seven months ago, he hit the longest home run in the history of Tropicana Field, home of the Tampa Bay Rays, measured at 502 feet.

The Marshalls also feature Chunner Nyberg, a right-handed pitcher from St. George, Utah who was drafted by the Angels in the 49th round of the 2009 draft.

Concessions will be open and each fan in attendance will receive a buy-one-get-one-free soft drink. In addition, all fans with a ticket for tonight's game will receive a voucher for two tickets to an upcoming Bees game, a voucher to a Jazz preseason game and a voucher to a Miller Motorsports Park event.
