FARR WEST -- A man whose motorized wheelchair was stolen has received another wheelchair to use while deputies search for the thief.
Bill Lamb of Farr West is an Air Force veteran. He left his wheelchair -- a Jazzy worth about $4,000 -- in the carport of his home on North Plain City Road to charge. Someone stole it Thursday night.
"It's my legs," Lamb said. "I just can't walk any more. I have to use a walker when I do walk."
Bill's daughter, Amanda Nelson, is outraged too. "It's awful," she said. "I would like to know who took it."
Syracuse resident Jim Ackerman learned about the theft and brought by a wheelchair to tide Lamb over until the stolen one is found.
Weber County sheriff's deputies are working on the case but have no leads.
