SALT LAKE CITY -- Crews on Monday will begin working to construct new Interstate 80 bridges at 2300 East.
That means the westbound on-ramp from 2300 East to Interstate 80 will be closed from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. through early August.
The Utah Department of Transportation says new bridges will be constructed next to the existing structures and then slid into place following the demolition of the old bridges.
Bridge placements will take place over two weekends in October. The 2300 East on-ramp to westbound I-80 is expected to be closed all hours during the bridge placements.
