Fundraiser held to help lawmaker pay legal bills

SALT LAKE CITY -- Rep. Greg Hughes, R-Draper, is getting some help with this legal bills.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports supporters held a fundraiser Wednesday night at the Alta Club to help Hughes pay bills accumulated when he was accused of ethical misconduct last October.

The House Ethics Committee eventually dismissed the charges.

Hughes said he had no hand in planning the fundraiser and is making sure the donations are being handled appropraitely.
