PROVO -- A Provo woman has pleaded no contest to charges she drove a man to an ambush in an American Fork church parking lot.
In return for the plea to a charge of aggravated assault, prosecutors dropped charges of attempted aggravated murder, aggravated kidnapping and obstruction of justice against 30-year-old Ashley Rae Richman.
The Provo Daily Herald reports Richman admitted she drove the victim to the parking lot where she knew his assailants were waiting.
However, she says she thought they were just going to threaten him in order to get him to return a television he had stolen.
Richman will be sentenced next month.
