SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Salt Lake City Council has approved the issuance of $10.2 million in bond money to renovate the old city library, which is the future home of The Leonardo.
The city expects to sell the bonds June 9 and receive payment June 24.
Leonardo Director Peter Giles says he expects the culture and science center to open in early 2011. He says the center's fundraising is on course.
Giles has said the museum will be a hodgepodge of exhibits that includes input from local companies, schools and artists.
