Sam Penrod Reporting "Who was that masked man?" Now, maybe we can tell!

Last week, a man wearing a ski mask robbed a Utah County bank at gunpoint. But now police have photos of a suspect without the mask.

Police are convinced the man was in the bank a week before, but he didn't go through with his plan to rob it until a week later.

So watch the pictures very closely, as you could help police arrest a suspect and capture a ten thousand dollar reward.

A week ago Friday, just as a bank was about to close, a man in a ski mask, armed with a silver handgun demands money and robs the Lindon branch of Wells Fargo Bank.

Capt. Cody Cullimore, Pleasant Grove Police Department: "The individual came in with a gun, was shouting instructions, waving the gun around, pointing it directly at individuals with his finger on the trigger guard. A very dangerous situation."

But investigators now believe this man is the robber.

Bank employees remembered he was in the bank exactly a week before it was robbed, just before closing time.

Capt. Cody Cullimore, Pleasant Grove Police Department: "They saw an individual come into the bank, who was acting extremely suspicious, dressed exactly like our bank robber, who was holding what they believe was a ski mask in his hand."

In the photo from November 3rd, there was a long line of customers in the bank, which may have kept the man from robbing it until a week later.

Capt. Cody Cullimore, Pleasant Grove Police Department: "We feel in looking at the incident, the bank wasn't robbed that night simply because of the number of people inside of the bank."

Since the robbery, investigators have been looking for the suspect. They now believe the pictures offer their best lead, and the quality will make it easy to identify the man.

Capt. Cody Cullimore, Pleasant Grove Police Department: "We know someone out there in the public is going to know who this guy is. We feel like we've got a good chance through the use of these photos to get an i.d. on him."

Capt. Cody Cullimore, Pleasant Grove Police Department: "We would definitely like to talk to this individual. We feel very strongly he is possibly our bank robber. But if not, if he's an individual who was there innocently, we definitely would like to rule him out."

That ten thousand dollar reward is for the arrest and conviction of the robber.

If you know who he is, contact the Pleasant Grove Police Department. We'll let you know as soon as he is caught.
