NAPLES -- A 17-year-old girl who asked a man to beat her up so she would miscarry her baby allegedly did it because she was afraid her boyfriend would leave her.

A probable cause statement says the girl met Arron Harrison of Naples on the street and told him she'd pay him $150 to help her terminate her baby.

He allegedly took her to his home late Tuesday, where he punched her in the stomach then bit and slapped her to make it look like an assault.

The girl told police her boyfriend threatened to break up with her unless she got rid of the baby.

Harrison is charged with attempted homicide of an unborn child. The girl has not been charged.
