WEST HAVEN -- Hundreds of elementary students and adults pulled out their best moves for a "Hawk Walk" for cancer on Friday.
West Haven Elementary School in Weber County paired up with America First Credit Union for an annual walk that raises money for the American Cancer Society.
Sixth grader Alexia Greenlee said, "We've had two people have cancer at this school, both that I know. It just is personal for them. I think it just makes them happy seeing people out here participating."
Another sixth grader, Carson Ottnsen, said, "I'm a cancer survivor. It makes me feel great to know people are trying to help find a cure so other kids don't have to go through the same thing I did."
America First donated $5 for each of the 500 or so students that walked Friday.
