SALT LAKE CITY — Shots were exchanged with police outside a nightclub early Saturday, Salt Lake police confirmed.

The incident occurred outside of Sky SLC, 149 Pierpont Ave., about 3 a.m. A gunman fired shots at an officer as he or she fled the scene.

Officers returned at least one shot, police said. No injuries were reported and no other details of the shooting were provided.
